We are created for Praise and in our praise, we offer Him songs, sacrifices of service. We offer Him our strength, our wellness. We also offer Him our substance.
Isaiah 43:21 “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” (KJV)
Are we willing to show forth His praise? Have we been showing forth His praise?
All through the week, we were offering our service in winning souls. There was a large turn out, ever day of the Win-a-soul Mandate. That was a sacrifice. Sacrifice that honour God. Sacrifice that give Him praise. All those who heard the gospel all through the week. there is no way a good proportion of them will not turn to the Lord. Have our lives not brought Him praise by that action?
He takes pleasure in our service, our songs of worship and adoration. He loves it and looks forward to it. He is God almighty but He created us to give Him praise. So, the purpose for which He created us should be realised; it is to give Him praise. So, that means every breath we take, every action we take should be in response to His purpose. That is the only way our lives will take on relevance because that is what the Creator made us for. If we are not giving Him praise, we are not meeting up the purpose for which we are created.
Today’s Message is God’s Acceptable Offering
Sometimes we tend to forget the proper relationship we should have towards material things. There is a way we should relate with material things.
Some may have failed, become a stumbling block, a rock of offence but Bible said that Christ, people saw as a stumbling block and a rock of offence but to us He is not a stumbling block. He is precious. He says but you, you are not like those people who do not understand purpose, who take offence at everything that He did and even does and says, even now. So, 1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth (Declare) the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” (KJV)
He called us from darkness, obscurity, lack of direction, focus, total loss, confusion. He brought us into His marvellous light, giving us direction and purpose, fulfillment and a reason to live. So, we are chosen as a royal priesthood, as a holy nation, a special peculiar people so that we should show forth His praise.
The Levites sang that God is too faithful to fail me. What is ‘me‘ doing to give Him back the praise that He requires?
