LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR YOUR REVELATION

You have to have the foundation to be revealed. Light is the revelation of life; you are a revelation of the life of God; you are the light of the world. You are the door; you are the one that ought to show others the way.

But our limitation is our mindset. There are things we need to do to indeed showcase our true personalities as lights. The first thing to do is:

  • BUILD CAPACITY

Capacity is the word for what a man can do. The reason why many are not doing what they ought to do is because they feel they cannot do it.

How can you build capacity? How do you change your mindset? Your mind governs what you say and do, and you have the power to control it.

The Bible says “…through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Proverbs 11:9). Knowledge is how you build capacity. Knowledge is intelligence, i.e. knowing what is.

The first thing you need to understand is: “Who am I”?

Scripture says you are a light, fine, but what does a light do?

What is that seat you occupy; do you have the knowledge? Only there and t

hen can you understand how to function in it.

When you have an old mindset, maybe your background, you have to change that mindset. Get the knowledge of God’s word into your being. Who are you? What did God Say you can do?

Change your mindset. He says you are a new creation (2Corinthians 5:17). The way to build a healthy capacity is through knowledge. Endeavour to know, so you can renew your mind.

  • ADOPT THE NEW WAY OF LIFE

There is a new way of life. Hebrews 10:19-21 says:

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And having an high priest over the house of God”

2 Cor 5:11 also says,

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences”

Your new lifestyle is faith – faith in God; faith in the things of God. Be moved by what God says only. Make a choice to live by faith only. Adopt the life style of faith.

Faith is our default. When you worry over anything, it tells that you have just left the realm of faith. Faith doesn’t have worrying, sadness and anxiety in it. Faith is an expression of your belief in God.

Many people don’t walk in faith anymore, and it’s really sad. So, if you have  many worries and anxieties,  simply trust in God. If your heart is worrying over anything, say to yourself: “Calm down”. Learn the secret of always encouraging yourself in faith.

  • SPEAK THE WORD

What leaves your mouth? When things happen, what do you say; what Is your response?

Remember Moses whom God said to speak to the rock; that tells you that even non-living things respond to the word of God.

Matt 12:34-37 says,

“O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Avoid Idle words. Instead, speak the word of God. Learn not to speak the way you feel. Before God does anything, He first speaks it. Words create the enabling environment.

God’s word is spirit and life (John 6:63). The devil’s word is spirit also, but it’s spirit and death.

  • BE COMMITTED

Be a person to be relied upon. Are you committed to a course? Being committed is a name (an identity). Be somebody one will call committed. When and if you are not committed, you can’t be trusted. God can’t entrust things to you when you are not committed

Proverbs 27:17-18 says,

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.”

Be truly commitment.

  • SHARE YOUR FAITH

Philemon 1:6 says,

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
